S. Shane Baker
Shane Baker focuses his practice primarily on insurance coverage and defense, worker's compensation defense, business torts and catastrophic claims. Shane represents insurance companies and policyholders in personal injury, wrongful death, catastrophic loss, property damage and breach of contract claims, including first-party claims of bad faith. He also helps employers, worker's compensation carriers, and third-party administrators navigate the claim process from the preliminary stages of a claim through the hearing and final appeal.
In addition to handling a variety of commercial litigation matters, Shane also counsels the firm's insurance industry clients on coverage issues, providing coverage opinions with respect to comprehensive general liability policies, automobile liability policies, homeowner's policies, and excess coverage.
Education
A Jonesboro native, Shane earned his bachelor's degree in criminology from Arkansas State University in 1998, followed by his juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville in 2001.
Background
Shane joined the firm in 2003 after serving as deputy prosecutor with the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney's office. There, he gained significant courtroom experience, which continues to influence his current practice.
